    Description

    Up for auction is an antique 19th century Victorian toy St. Bernard or similar dog toy figurine recently found at auction in the Lancaster County PA area.  It is offered in as found used condition.  Condition issues include paint losses, some severe,  fading, discoloration, repair to tail. Material is quite light and hollow, some kind of composite, not plastic, not porcelain.  There is a # 7 or L underneath between the back legs.  Quite dirty.  Hand painted.  Well made, folky quality to it, very unusual find.
